10Kg – 2.5mm E308L Stainless Steel Stick Electrodes For welding 304 Grade
$350.00
For Welding 304 Grade
Hampdon Industrial stocks the premium range of Magmaweld Welding Electrodes. E308L is an excellent alloy for general purpose welding of stainless steels where corrosion conditions are moderate. Its low carbon content ensures freedom from inter granular cracking and corrosion and produced a bright finish welds. 308L is good for joining 301, 302, 304, 308 321, and 347 alloys. Typical applications include exhaust headers, chemical tanks, restaurant and distillery equipments.

Properties and Applications:
Rutile type electrode for joining dissimilar steels (austenitic steels to ferritic steels) and for austenitic claddings on ferritic steels. Weld metal consists of austenite with approx. 15% delta-ferrite. Claddings on unalloyed and low alloy steels are already corrosion resistant in the first layer. Higher operating temperature for joints between dissimilar steels is 300°C. Fine metal droplet transfer, good fusion of joint faces, finely ripped flat and smooth bead surface, especially in fillet welds. Easy slag removal of slag.
Manufactured to international standards:

Welding Position Applications:
PA – Flat Position: Welding is performed from the upper side of the joint, and the axis of the weld is approximately horizontal.
PB – Horizontal Position: The welding is done on the horizontal surface, and the axis of the weld is approximately horizontal.
PC – Vertical Position: Welding is carried out on the vertical surface, and the axis of the weld is approximately vertical.
PD – Overhead Position: Welding is performed from the underside of the joint, and the axis of the weld is approximately horizontal.
PE – Horizontal/Vertical Position: This position is a combination of horizontal and vertical welding. The joint can be both in the horizontal and vertical planes.
PF – 4G Position: This is a groove weld performed on the outside surface of a pipe or cylinder in a fixed vertical.
