Cleaner / remover is used both for precleaning and penetrant removal. Precleaning spray directly on surface. After 30 seconds, wipe cleaner from the surface with clean, dry lint free rag or towel. Allow time for cleaner to evaporate completely from any existing flaws before penetrant application.

Steps:

Wipe first with a clean, dry, lint-free rag.
Remove remaining surface penetrant by wiping with a clean rag. Repeat wiping until surface is substantially free of penetrant film
Dry surface by wiping with clean, lint-free rags or towels before apply developer.
