MAGMAWELD 6013 – 3.2mm Stick Electrodes – 2.5KG Pack
$43.00
Rutile & Basic Electrodes
Hampdon Industrial stocks the premium range of Magmaweld Rutile & Basic Electrodes. E6013 is a mild-steel (Carbon steel), all-position and general-purpose cellulose-based rod. It operates on AC or DC machines and works very well on low voltage AC machines. E6013 is an obvious choice where there are large gaps or poor fit-ups in the joint. It deposits effortlessly and smoothly producing medium to shallow penetration. Small rod diameters are well adapted to low heat on thin metals. The advantage of E6013 is the medium to heavy slag that is effortlessly removed and provides excellent weld cleaning action during the welding process. E6013 is a great choice for all types of mild steel fabrications or repairs where ease of operation and good bead appearance are essential.

UNIMIG Part #: U63033 / U63004
Equivalent to Cigweld Part # WEG2532
Properties and Applications:
Especially suitable for welding in sheets thinner then 5 mm, galvanized sheets and tubes, primer painted, painted and slightly rusty steels and in production of tanks and boilers, tube installations. Very easily operated in positional welding, including vertically-down. Good gap-bridging. Smooth arc, well suited for tack-welding due to its easy arc striking and re-striking properties. Possible to use equally well both with AC and DC. Welds are smooth, slightly concave and blending into base metal without undercutting. Slag is self-releasing.

Welding Position Applications:
PA – Flat Position: Welding is performed from the upper side of the joint, and the axis of the weld is approximately horizontal.
PB – Horizontal Position: The welding is done on the horizontal surface, and the axis of the weld is approximately horizontal.
PC – Vertical Position: Welding is carried out on the vertical surface, and the axis of the weld is approximately vertical.
PD – Overhead Position: Welding is performed from the underside of the joint, and the axis of the weld is approximately horizontal.
PE – Horizontal/Vertical Position: This position is a combination of horizontal and vertical welding. The joint can be both in the horizontal and vertical planes.
PF – 4G Position: This is a groove weld performed on the outside surface of a pipe or cylinder in a fixed vertical position.
