MAGMAWELD 7016 – Low Hydrogen 3.2mm Stick Electrodes – 5KG Pack
$79.00
Low Hydrogen Stick Electrode
Hampdon Industrial stocks the premium range of Magmaweld Rutile & Basic Electrodes. The E7016 is an unsurpassed covered electrode for melt-through root-pass welding, or one-sided root pass welding with penetration beads. The E7016 offers confidence in the quality of your welds in any kind of pipe welding of mild steel. E7016 Electrodes offer superior crack resistibility due to lower amount of diffusible hydrogen in the weld metal. Alongside this the 7016 deposits less metal so protecting it from the atmosphere where a root is more susceptible and offers protection from cracks or porosity.

Properties and Applications:
Suitable for welding fabrication of dynamically loaded steel contructions, bridge, shipbuilding, pipe-line, pressure vessels, tanks, boiler and machines where high tougness is required. Weld metal recovery is appx. 115 %. Smooth and clean welds merging into base metal without undercuts. Good gap bridging properties. Welds are of X-ray quality. It is suited for depositing buffer layers on higher carbon steels.

Welding Position Applications:
PA – Flat Position: Welding is performed from the upper side of the joint, and the axis of the weld is approximately horizontal.
PB – Horizontal Position: The welding is done on the horizontal surface, and the axis of the weld is approximately horizontal.
PC – Vertical Position: Welding is carried out on the vertical surface, and the axis of the weld is approximately vertical.
PD – Overhead Position: Welding is performed from the underside of the joint, and the axis of the weld is approximately horizontal.
PE – Horizontal/Vertical Position: This position is a combination of horizontal and vertical welding. The joint can be both in the horizontal and vertical planes.
PF – 4G Position: This is a groove weld performed on the outside surface of a pipe or cylinder in a fixed vertical position.
